Blaine Morris

Executive Director (Development & Partnerships)

pronouns: she / her

Blaine Morris is the Executive Director of Development & Partnerships at Quail Springs, where she leads fundraising strategy, philanthropic partnerships, and organizational development in support of ecological resilience, environmental education, and community advocacy. She believes that lasting stewardship begins with relationship, approaching development as the practice of cultivating trust, reciprocity, and shared responsibility for people and place.

An Afro-Latina, first-generation Honduran American, Blaine’s work is rooted in the interconnected movements for reproductive justice, environmental justice, and land stewardship. As a Creative and Full Spectrum Doula, her holistic support practice spans community and clinical settings and is grounded in a decolonized praxis of wellness. Her ecofeminist perspective is informed by cuerpo territorio, the understanding that our bodies and the lands we inhabit are intrinsically connected.

Raised in the arts on the northeastern coast of Turtle Island and shaped by the tropical waters and mangroves of the Caribbean, Blaine has spent her career weaving together movement building, philanthropy, and community care. Her work has included learning alongside campesino cooperatives organizing in defense of their land in Honduras, water protectors in Guapinol, healthcare providers and urban food system advocates in Cuba, and communities across California advancing environmental and reproductive justice.

Blaine first arrived at Quail Springs as a Work Trader, where she experienced firsthand the transformative power of place-based learning, regenerative living, and community. She later joined the staff as Programs Director, leading the CalEPA Environmental Justice Action Grant, Building Cuyama Valley’s Coalition of Water Stewards, and supporting regional advocacy through the Small Farmer and Rancher Network. Her journey from Work Trader to Executive Director reflects Quail Springs’ belief in cultivating leadership from within and investing in people as deeply as the land itself.

In 2022, Blaine founded Sana Sana Wellness, a maternal health nonprofit centered on learning, healing, and growing within community. She also serves on the Board of Directors of California Latinas for Reproductive Justice (CLRJ), where she contributes her experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and movement building to advance reproductive justice across California.

Through her leadership at Quail Springs, Blaine is committed to building resilient ecosystems of care where land, culture, and community thrive together. She believes that investing in relationships across organizations, regions, and movements is essential to cultivating a collective regenerative future.
